The Department of Veterinary Sciences at the University of Turin (UNITO) invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship in anatomic veterinary pathology at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will join an established and collegial pathology team comprising seven anatomic pathologists, two biologists, and a group of young fellows.
The VAPDL is equipped with excellent research support facilities, including a histological lab, an automatic immunostainer, a digital PCR machine, and other instruments for cellular and biological research purposes. Requirements for this position include a DVM degree, appropriate training in veterinary pathology, and achievement of (or eligibility for) certification by the European or American College of Veterinary Pathologists. A PhD degree and a minimum of 10 peer-reviewed publications are also required. Salary will be commensurate with experience. While knowledge of the Italian language is not initially required, as this position is renewable annually, we recommend at least an elementary knowledge of Italian as a minimum.
