The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies wishes to appoint a full-time Senior Lecturer or Lecturer in Veterinary Anatomic Pathology.  This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the further development of the School's teaching of pathology, the diagnostic pathology service and the School's research programme.

Covering all aspects of anatomic pathology, the successful candidate will play an important role in the work of Easter Bush Pathology and the wider Centre for Comparative Pathology, in the delivery and assessment of the BVM&S undergraduate teaching programme and in enhancing eLearning and on-line teaching initiatives. You will make a significant contribution to research in this field, develop strong collaborative research links both within and outside the School and make a significant contribution to postgraduate education.

You will be based in Easter Bush Pathology, which is within the new Veterinary School building opened in 2011. Interaction with colleagues across the range of disciplines will give you the support and stimulation required to further develop your interests and ambitions.

You will hold a veterinary degree and will be an MRCVS (or eligible to become an MRCVS). You will be qualified in veterinary anatomic pathology to diploma level (e.g. DipECVP, DipACVP or FRCPath). Practical experience in delivery of a diagnostic pathology service and pathology-related research is essential and a PhD in pathology is desirable.

The decision to appoint at Senior Lecturer or Lecturer grade will be dependent on previous experience, credentials and research contributions to veterinary pathology.

Informal enquiries are encouraged and should be directed to Dr Sionagh Smith, Head of Anatomic Pathology, on 0131 650 8787 or Enable JavaScript to view this email address.
