The UCD is offering a unique opportunity for a Veterinary Anatomic Pathologist who has an existing expertise or an established interest in developing an expertise in dermatopathology to join an outstanding team of Anatomic Pathologists and Dermatologists at UC Davis.

The successful applicant will support the clinical service and teaching missions in the Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology (PMI) within the School of Veterinary Medicine. This is a fully-funded, clinical-track faculty position with 70% clinical service effort.

Board certification or eligibility for board certification by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP) or European College of Veterinary Pathologists (ECVP) is required. Demonstrated aptitude and experience in teaching is required. Clinical experience and competence in Anatomic Pathology diagnostic service is required. The dermatopathology case load represents 15-20% of biopsy submissions, and consists of mandatory special reviews from the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital (VMTH) Dermatology service.

The Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine is pleased to announce an available position in Clinical Pathology, with potential to hire in at the rank of assistant, associate or full professor, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities include teaching a mixture of lectures, discussions, and laboratories of DVM students and mentoring one (and hopefully two) pathology residents. As a lecturer/senior lecturer, you will join the Department of Livestock and One Health to contribute to the undergraduate veterinary teaching of Livestock Disease Investigation including final years clinical rotations and support of delivery of a Farm Animal Post Mortem service.

The post is available on the teaching and research (T&R) or teaching and scholarship (T&S) tracks depending on the experience of the successful candidate. For the T&R track, dedicated time, will be allocated for research aligned to one of the areas of strength of the Institute. You will have a PhD in relevant area (for appointment at teaching and research).
