With the advent of new Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products, humanised mice are likely to become more and more a key component of efficacy and safety assessment in preclinical programmes, including GLP studies. However, limited information is available concerning the morphological aspects of human cell engraftment and the spectrum of spontaneous and experimentally-induced histopathological lesions occurring in these mice.
