Senior Research Manager – Infectious Diseases

This role will be based at the Australian Animal Health Laboratory (AAHL) in Geelong, which is part of CSIRO’s Division of Livestock Industries. The Australian Animal Health Laboratory is a national centre of excellence in disease diagnosis, research and policy advice in animal health, whose major role is to maintain Australia's capability to quickly diagnose exotic (foreign) and emerging animal diseases.

To be successful in this position you’ll need:
• A PhD in veterinary pathology, virology, molecular biology or immunology or related subject or an equivalent qualification
• Demonstrated international research excellence in infectious diseases of animals
• Success in leading and managing large multi disciplinary teams including senior administrative responsibility and experience
• An ability and willingness to meet Australian Animal Health Laboratory microbiological security and security requirements
