The Institute of Veterinary Pathology, Vetsuisse Faculty, of the University of Zurich (UZH) is offering a position for a veterinarian with at least 1 year professional experience, as postgraduate training in veterinary pathology (“Residency”). The position is available immediately.

The post holder has the following tasks:
- Contribution to the Institute's post mortem diagnostic service
- Contribution to the Institute's biopsy and cytology diagnostic service
- Contribution to collaborative research projects and undergraduate teaching

The successful applicant fulfils the following requirements:
- EU-recognised veterinary degree
- At least 12 months postgraduate veterinary work (eg. in practice or by working towards a doctoral degree)
- Interest in pathology and in postgraduate training in this discipline; basic experience in the field is an advantage
- Optimally scientific publication(s), eg. as part of a completed dissertation (Dr. med. vet., PhD)
- Very good English and German skills (spoken and written)

- Training in all aspects of diagnostic veterinary pathology, including forensic pathology and digital photodocumentation
- Work in a large diagnostic team and with a broad range of species
- Qualification for the certifying examination of the European College of Veterinary Pathologists
- Salary according to the cantonal requirements
