Put your veterinary skills and pathology experience to work in an interesting and important role that will see you underpinning the crucial work of a dedicated Government agency that is tackling animal disease.
About the role
You will provide veterinary pathology expertise for the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA). You will be actively involved in disease diagnosis and investigation of avian diseases with an emphasis on commercial poultry. Your main area of work will be to support the national scanning surveillance programme for avian diseases. The post will be based at APHA Lasswade which is located on the outskirts of Edinburgh.
About you
Together with a veterinary degree (MRCVS) and experience of UK poultry practice, you will have a good understanding of disease investigation and surveillance. As a strong team player with sound communication skills, you will ideally have post graduate experience in pathology.
