We are seeking a veterinarian to undertake a postgraduate research project on reptarenaviruses and the diagnosis of Boid Inclusion Body Disease (BIBD). The project will focus on molecular biological and in vitro studies. The position is available from 1st September 2018, initially for 12 months.

Your main task is to provide toxicology and pathology expertise and mechanistic understanding in the interpretation of nonclinical findings, and their relevance to humans. Histopathological evaluation and peer review of regulatory and exploratory toxicological and efficacy studies, including interpretation of clinical pathology results, is also essential part of your job. You serve also as a nonclinical safety expert in multifunctional project teams on discovery and development projects and build up the holistic safety knowledge of the molecule from the beginning to the end of projects. You design and oversee execution of nonclinical toxicology studies and programs for small and large molecules during discovery and development phase.
